  • American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey

    Our Chapter The American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey responds to over 350 disasters each year throughout Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Warren counties. Our Chapter services include disaster relief, blood services, disaster and emergency preparedness training, health and safety courses, military and international services, Braille transcription and volunteer and youth opportunities.   • Banyan School

    The Banyan School was founded in 1993 to educate elementary, middle school and high school students with learning differences. The curriculum reflects the needs of every student, the beliefs of the staff and the values of the entire Banyan School community.

    Students at Banyan School learn that education is the process of living. They discover that their lives are connected to a larger world, a world that requires a relationship to community. Families, administrators and staff members work together to develop programs that educate the whole child. Students are presented with multi-sensory opportunities that build confidence and address learning challenges.  In addition, a strong social skills program provides for the emotional and psychological needs of all students.

  • Boys & Girls Club of Clifton

    The Boys & Girls Club of Clifton is dedicated to providing programs and services in a safe, supervised environment, to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens. We envision a future in which the Boys & Girls Club Movement is a catalyst for an age in which success is within reach of every child, and whole generations of children are inspired to a level of civic engagement not seen since the founding of our nation. The Boys & Girls Club of Clifton strives to achieve excellence as a youth service organization, encompassing our core beliefs: to provide our young people with life-enhancing programs, character development opportunities and ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals.

  • Care On The Corner

    Care on the Corner® is a community service organization created in response to the needs of the people of Hasbrouck Heights and the surrounding communities. We have, over the past nine years, provided an opportunity for people who have been denied access to education and support programs, due to Federal, State, and County financial reductions, to participate in English Language Education (ESL), United States Citizenship preparation classes, computer literacy classes, children’s theatrical arts program (Kids on the Corner), and a course based upon Signed Exact English (SEE), Communicating with Your Hands. We are launching two new programs for children in the fall of 2011, NewARTS Kids and a Homework Club.

    Our core programs serve people living in 38 different zip codes, located in 5 counties in Central and Northern New Jersey. A strong volunteer core in excess of 35 people supports the program directors and paid staff of 5 people.

  • CASA Foundation

    The CASA Foundation is an independent, non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the problems of Substance Abuse within the City of Clifton.

    Goals

    * Develop and sustain educational programs dealing with the prevention of substance abuse.

    * Coordinate and provide advice and funding support for other Clifton non-profit organizations wishing to implement a substance abuse program to help accomplish our mission.

    * Provide a single information resource for Clifton residents, service, civic and religious organizations in their efforts to combat substance abuse.

  • Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation

    The Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation raises funds that support the diverse programs and services of Hackensack University Medical Center. HUMC is a 775-bed, not-for-profit tertiary care, teaching and research hospital serving Northern New Jersey and the New York Metro area. Affiliated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, HUMC is the largest provider of inpatient and outpatient services in the state of New Jersey and ranked four in the nation for admissions.

  • March of Dimes

    We help moms have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies. Working with our partners, the March of Dimes strives to develop and implement local programs that will ultimately improve the health of babies. Through our network of chapters and volunteers, these programs reach over a million people across the country and Puerto Rico each year. We provide information and services designed to prevent premature birth and birth defects and to promote healthy pregnancies. DONATE HERE

  • Mental Health Association of Passaic County

    Each day, the Mental Health Association in Passaic County assists many families and individuals conquer the challenges of mental illness. For the last two decades, we have been helping people change their lives by providing high quality, free services to help our community in need, restore order, wellness, and confidence to their lives. The mission of the MHAPC is to serve children, adults and families affected by mental illness through support services, education, and advocacy. We are dedicated to increasing public awareness and understanding of mental health issues and enhancing mental health services in Passaic County. MHAPC acts to ensure that every person in Passaic County with a mental illness receives prompt and appropriate treatment in the most therapeutic, least restrictive setting closest to home.

  • Mental Health Clinic of Passaic

    The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic was incorporated in July 1967 as a merger of St. Mary’s Hospital Child Guidance Clinic and a branch office of the Clinic for Mental Health Services in Paterson.

    In 1996, the Clinic purchased its second building at 1451 Van Houten Avenue in Clifton, to house its Children and Family Behavioral Services, and opened a second unit of the Ida Gurtman Therapeutic Children’s program in the new building.

    In 1999, the Clinic, in collaboration with Saint Claire’s Hospital, embarked on a joint project to help the needs of the adult population. The Clinic was a co-sponsor of the first Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse initiative, and continues today to try and increase services to the adult population needing medication monitoring.

  • Passaic County Elks Cerebral Palsy Center

    Our mission is to advance the independence and to enrich the quality of life of individuals with disabilities, by providing opportunities to challenge themselves to learn and grow emotionally and functionally in educational, therapeutic and vocational environments within an atmosphere of acceptance.

    The Passaic County Elks Cerebral Palsy Treatment Center is a pioneer in the rehabilitation field for children with special needs.  The Center provides services to over 250 families. The diversity of programs are designed to meet the needs of each individual with various developmental abilities.

    SERV Behavioral Health System is a private statewide, not-for-profit behavioral  healthcare organization serving adults and children working to recover from and cope  with a serious mental illness or developmental disability. Remaining focused on  personal dignity and quality of care, we utilize a continuum of services that are  tailored to meet individual needs. It is our goal to a ssist our consumers to live and work successfully in their communities.
